At Great American XC Festival in North Carolina, West Chester East was 6th in the Race of Champions, as Duriel Hardy was 10th overall. Only one team ahead of East is not ranked regionally. They did beat several ranked teams. Running individually, Tamaqua's Isaac Dunkelberger took 9th in the race in 15:43. The Archbishop Carrol varsity girls team won the Small School girls race behind Amanda Cosful 20:33 for 7th place. In Seeded Boys, Malvern Prep was 2nd, with LaSalle College 3rd. LaSalle had beaten Malvern by just four points a week earlier at Briarwood. In the race, both Malvern Prep and LaSalle beat Southeast ranked teams, #2 Oakton VA and #10 Pinecrest NC. Pat Jeffers of LaSalle took 9th in 16:06, while Chris Tilger of Carroll was 10th in 16:07. Brian Duffy led Malvern Prep in 16:24. In Seeded Girls, Alexa Griffiths of Tamaqua was 14th in 19:39. The Twin Valley boys were 3rd in the Red Invitational. Varsity PA results below.
