Bryan Beegle was named the PSAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday by the conference office after posting a NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the 1,500 meters at the Fred Hardy Invitational.
Beegle set a meet record in the 1,500-meter run on Friday night with a time of 3:49.11. While early in the season, Beegle's mark currently sits as the pacesetter for Division II. It is the third NCAA outdoor provisional qualifying performance of Beegle's career – he qualified in the steeplechase as a freshman and as a junior.
During the indoor season, Beegle was a national champion on the distance medley relay squad as the anchor leg and also earned All-America certification in the 5K with a second-place finish.
