Saturday softball postponed, two games added to schedule

Saturday's home doubleheader with Mercyhurst has been postponed to Monday at 3 p.m. The Rock has also added two away doubleheaders to the schedule, April 11 at Clarion and April 13 at Glenville State.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Saturday's scheduled home Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division softball doubleheader between Slippery Rock University and Mercyhurst has been postponed until 3 p.m. Monday at the SRU Softball Complex.

Head coach Vashion Johnson also announced the addition of two doubleheaders to the team's schedule. SRU will travel to Clarion April 11 for a 3 p.m. first pitch and will travel to Glenville State April 12 for a 3 p.m. start.

Slippery Rock will travel to California (Pa.) for a doubleheader contest on Sunday at 1 p.m. before returning home to host Mercyhurst.

Slippery Rock, which is on a school-record 13-game winning streak, leads the PSAC-West with an overall record of 16-2 and a PSAC-West mark of 4-0. California (Pa.) is 17-7 overall and 2-0 in the PSAC-West while Mercyhurst is 16-14 overall and 1-3 in the PSAC-West.
