SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's outdoor track and field team claimed wins in 13 separate events at the SRU Tri-Meet Friday night at the Bill Lennox Track.

SRU welcomed California (Pa.) and Thiel for the tri-meet, which was not scored.

Kim Goth was the top performer on the day for The Rock, posting an NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the javelin. Despite frigid temperatures and near darkness when the event finally began, Goth posted her best performance of the season with a throw of 40.26 meters to win the event.

Kaela Snyder was impressive on the day as well, picking up a pair of wins on the track. She claimed the 400-meter dash in a season-best time of 58.54 seconds and also took the 200-meter dash in 26.36 seconds.

Kelly Bruder picked up a pair of wins on the track as well, sweeping the hurdle events. She posted a time of 15.96 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles and a mark of 1:12.39 in the 400-meter hurdles.

Crystal Burnick competed solo in the 10,000-meter run as she looked to simply hit the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying mark. She did more than that, posting a time of 36:43.10, just missing the NCAA provisional mark by 3.1 seconds.

The Rock swept the mid-distance events with Kristen Koontz winning the 800-meter run in 2:28.41 and Caitlin Hancox claiming the 1,500-meter run in 4:48.64.

Becky Younger took the title in the 3,000-meter run with a personal best performance of 11:04.04 to join Burnick in leading the distance runners.

Goth was joined by Cassie Carrow, Kim Stitt and Jade Hambrick as The Rock swept the throwing events as well.

Carrow claimed the top spot in the hammer with a throw of 44.39 meters, while Hambrick won the discus at 36.69 meters and Stitt took the shot put with a toss of 12.07 meters.

Teresa Parker capped the day's winners for SRU by claiming the top spot in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.35 meters.

Slippery Rock will remain home next weekend when it hosts the SRU Invitational Saturday, April 9 at the Bill Lennox Track.
