Neely Spence was named the PSAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by the conference office.
Spence posted a NCAA provisional qualifying mark in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:32.62 and also cruised to a time of 9:28.51 in the 3K – winning both events to help SU win the team title at the Lafayette Seven-Way meet.
Her times lead the PSAC in both events - while the 1,500-meter time also ranks atop Division II through the early portion of the season.
Shippensburg will compete this weekend at the Millersville Metrics from the Biemesderfer.
