MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore Marcus Line posted a NCAA provisional qualifying time in the 400-meter hurdles for the second straight week as the Shippensburg men's outdoor track and field squad won nine events on Saturday at the Millersville Metrics held inside the Biemesderfer.

Senior Josh Hostetler posted a season-best effort in the javelin with a NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 202 feet 3 inches, finishing behind an outstanding mark by East Stroudsburg's Josh Hontz.

Line won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.64 seconds and ran the opening leg of the 4x400-meter relay squad that finished in second place with a time of 3:20.40.

Sophomore Tom Troxell led a group of five runners with solid marks in the 800 – winning the event with a time of 1:53.54. Sophomore Joel Flott finished second with a time of 1:54.20 and sophomore Matt Gillette was third in 1:54.80.

Sophomore Romarr Mayne put together his best performance of the season in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.90 seconds. Mayne also ran the anchor leg of the 4x100-meter relay squad that won the event in 42.07 seconds.

Freshman Adam Phillippi cleared 15 feet 1 inch in the pole vault to win the event and achieve a PR.

Junior Travis Nye won the discus with a lifetime PR throw of more than 154 feet.

Senior Bryan Beegle won the mile in 4:07.83 - upon conversion to a 1,500-meter time, his mark could surpass his previous season-best.

Multis competition wrapped up on Sunday. Freshman Austin Strine, battling injury, amassed 4,177 points in the decathlon. His top mark was a 100-meter time of 11.90 seconds.
