This Week's Nominees:
Mackenzie Skelly, Penn Charter (Pennsylvania): Ran 10:11.94 to win the 3200 at the PA Independent School Athletic Association Championship, the fastest time by a freshman in the state this season.
Maddie Fuhrmeister, Central Bucks West 01 (Pennsylvania): Won the pole vault at the PIAA District 1 AA Championships with a clearance of 13-6, the top mark by a junior in Pennsylvania this season. Also competed in the high jump, placing 7th with a 5-1 clearance.
Gwen Hamilton, Penn Charter (Pennsylvania): Clocked 2:09.13 to capture the 800 meters at the PA Independent School Athletic Association Championship, winning by a comfortable margin in the 22-runner field.
Ava Flicker, Perkiomen Valley 01 (Pennsylvania): Threw 159-1 to win the javelin at the PIAA District 1 AA Championships in a field of 26 competitors. Also placed 4th in the discus with a throw of 127-8.
Reese Miller, Gwynedd-Mercy Academy 01 (Pennsylvania): Posted 4:48.04 to win the 1600 meters at the PIAA District 1 AA Championships, topping a field of 33 runners. Also earned 3rd place in the 3200 at the District 1 AAA Championships with a time of 10:36.15.
