PRINCETON, N.J. – The Shippensburg women's outdoor track and field team had great performances all over the board on Saturday at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational – including three NCAA provisional qualifying marks and at least seven PRs that met the conference's qualifying standards.

Senior Erica Hess was once again exceptional and had arguably her best day of the season. Individually, she set a season PR with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 56.04 seconds – an effort that comfortably paces the conference by more than a second.

Near the end of the day, Hess and the 4x400-meter relay finally made a breakthrough with a highlight performance. Hess, freshman Megan Rhyner, junior Amanda Raudabaugh and senior Laura Henzy finished sixth behind five Division I schools with a time of 3:49.96. SU is the first school in the conference this season to run faster than the NCAA provisional qualifying standard of 3:50.

Still on the track, sophomore Caitlin Stuetz posted a sixth-place time of 1:01.99 in the 400-meter hurdles that satisfied the NCAA provisional qualifying standards and stands as a season PR by nearly a second and a half. Stuetz also ran the 100-meter hurdles in 15 seconds.

Senior Emily Dubs had a fine day herself – running a splendid 3K conference qualifying time of 10:16.71 and a new season PR in the 800 of 2:16.28. Also on the track, senior Katie Frey ran 18 seconds faster than her previous season best in the 3K with a time of 10:17.93. Henzy had a season PR in the 400 with a time of 57.87 seconds.

In the field, sophomore Megan Breski and junior Lauren Redington achieved season PRs in their respective events. Breski cleared 11 feet 5 ¾ inches in the pole vault – matching the top mark to date in the conference. Redington had a season PR in the long jump of 17 feet 11 ¾ inches.

Shippensburg will send a faction to the Penn Relays on Thursday and Friday before hosting the Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday from Seth Grove Stadium.
