EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Senior
Sara Wlazelek and freshman
Damaris Schrum were among the Raiders with notable season PRs on Saturday as the Shippensburg women's outdoor track and field team sent a group of athletes to Eiler-Martin Stadium for competition in the sixth annual ESU All-American Invitational.
Wlazelek tied for third in the 400-meter dash with a season PR of 59.90 seconds. Junior
Lindsay Bingaman picked up her conference qualifier in the 400 with a time of 1:00.27. Sophomore
Courtney Martin satisfied the conference qualifying standards in the 100 and the 200 - winning both events.
Schrum finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 17 feet (5.20 meters). Also in the field, freshman
Carenna Neely had a conference qualifying hammer throw of 130 feet (39.64 meters).
Shippensburg will send a faction to the Penn Relays on Thursday and Friday before hosting the Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday from Seth Grove Stadium.
