Erica Hess was named the PSAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon by the conference office.
Hess was once again exceptional last weekend at Princeton and had what was arguably her best day of the 2011 season. Individually, she set a season PR with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 56.04 seconds in the 400-meter dash – an effort that comfortably paces the conference by more than a second and is No. 22 in Division II.
She also ran on the 4x400-meter relay squad that recorded an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 3:49.96. SU was the first school in the conference this season to run faster than the NCAA provisional qualifying standard of 3:50 in the 4x400-meter relay.
