PHILADELPHIA – Seniors Sean Stetler and Jake Sitler posted NCAA provisional qualifying marks on Thursday night as the Shippensburg men's outdoor track and field squad sent distance runners to compete at the 2011 Penn Relays from Franklin Field.

Stetler capped off Shippensburg's night with a seventh-place finish in the Olympic Development 5K with a NCAA provisional time and PR of 14:27.14, just ahead of fellow PSAC runner Aaron Dinzeo of California (Pa.). Sitler set a new PR in the 3K steeplechase and improved his NCAA provisional qualifying time with a ninth-place finish in 9:16.83.

Senior Bryan Beegle posted a 25th-place finish in the championship men's 5K race with a time of 14:40.01 while junior Stephen Schelander finished 13th in the college men's 5K race with a time of 14:43.57.

Shippensburg will host the 7th annual Paul Kaiser Classic this Saturday from Seth Grove Stadium. Field events begin at 9 a.m.
