KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore Caitlin Stuetz posted a slight improvement to her season-best in the 400-meter hurdles on Saturday night with another NCAA provisional qualifying mark as the Shippensburg University women's track and field team competed in select events at the Kutztown Invitational.

Stuetz posted a time of 1:01.49 – her previous season PR of 1:01.89 was set last week at Penn Relays.

In the field, junior Lauren Redington finished one-hundredth of a meter short of a new season PR for the long jump. Redington's mark of 5.47 meters (approximately 17 feet 11 inches) maintains her ranking of fourth in the PSAC.

The 4x400-meter relay squad was seeking a slightly faster time but finished just short of a new season PR. The quartet of senior Erica Hess, freshman Megan Rhyner, junior Amanda Raudabaugh and senior Laura Henzy posted a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 3:48.85. The season PR in the 4x4 is 3:48.75, set last week at the Paul Kaiser Classic.

Shippensburg will compete in the PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships from Slippery Rock beginning Thursday, May 12 through Saturday May 14.
