Girls
Emery Sutton - AOC Ambler Track Club 2nd, Girls 3000m, 13 years - 10:19.61
Sutton turned in the strongest clearly identifiable Pennsylvania girls performance of Saturday. She finished second nationally in the 13-year-old 3,000, running 10:19.61 and coming within 16 seconds of the AAU Junior Olympic Games record. It was an outstanding performance against a field of nearly 40 athletes.
Isabella Chu - AOC Ambler Track Club 29th, Girls 3000m, 15-16 years - 12:11.11
Chu represented AOC Ambler in the 15-16-year-old 3,000 and finished 29th in 12:11.11. While she wasn't in medal contention, getting through a national championship 3K against a deep field is a solid accomplishment to mention in a Pennsylvania roundup.
Riley Brown - AOC Ambler Track Club 31st, Girls 3000m, 15-16 years - 12:31.15
Brown was the other AOC Ambler finisher in the 15-16 girls 3,000, placing 31st in 12:31.15. She gives you another Pennsylvania name from the final day of competition, although I would rank this below Sutton by a considerable margin from an article-worthiness standpoint.
Boys
Isac Ortega - Girard Warriors Youth Track 17th, Boys 3000m, 15-16 years - 9:32.61
Ortega produced the best clearly identifiable Pennsylvania boys result I could verify from Saturday's 3,000s. His 9:32.61 placed him 17th nationally in the 15-16 age group, putting him inside the top half of a very large championship field.
Raphael Francis - AOC Ambler Track Club 20th, Boys 3000m, 17-18 years - 9:53.35
Francis finished 20th in the 17-18 men's 3,000 with a 9:53.35. He was the top AOC Ambler finisher in the older boys' race and gives Pennsylvania another national-meet result from Saturday.
Adam Garrison - AOC Ambler Track Club 23rd, Boys 3000m, 17-18 years - 10:02.52
Garrison followed Francis across the line, taking 23rd in 10:02.52. His performance helped give AOC Ambler two Pennsylvania athletes inside the top 25 of the 17-18 national final.
