Cross country in PA is officially back, and we could not be more excited to see what the athletes can do this season. August 28th was the official first day of the 2026 season, and with 8 meets this weekend, none were bigger than the Warrior Twilight Tune Up Invitational (3k) 2026.
Boys:
On the boys' side, 3 went under the illustrious 9-minute barrier, with Ryne Coble of Red Lion leading the way with an 8:53.4 for the win. Daniel Dunkleberger came in 2nd with an 8:54.6, and Liam Hodge rounded out the 3 boys under 9 minutes with a 3rd place finish in 8:58.4.
Girls:
On the girls' side of things, 2 went under the previous course record, with Julia Leady leading the way, being 1 of only 2 girls to break 10, running 9:56.2 for the win and taking 10 full seconds off the course record set last year. Ruby Garner-Valle also went under the previous course record, running 9:57.7 to finish in 2nd place.
Both boys' and girls' races were highly competitive, not only with the top-end talent but also in some of the other races, with there being 8 boys' races and 6 girls' races yesterday to make it a very competitive and fun night for all runners who competed.
