Reading, Pa. (August 16, 2011) - The Alvernia Women's Track & Field team was honored as an All-Academic team as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The USTFCCCA named the Alvernia women's team and 110 other institutions as All-Academic teams after they maintained a 3.1 GPA through the 2010-2011 season.

Both Erin Stone (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) and Katie Wimberg (Galloway, NJ/Sacred Heart) from the Women's Track & Field team were alse named to the MAC All-Academic team for maintaining a 3.2 GPA through the playing season.
