NEW ORLEANS - The Shippensburg University men's and women's cross country teams have been nationally ranked in the 2011 USTFCCCA Preseason National Coaches Poll released on Wednesday. The SU women are No. 8 while the men were picked No. 10.

On the women's side, Shippensburg was also picked No. 1 in the PSAC preseason coaches poll released Wednesday. The PSAC with four women's teams ranked, including No. 8 Shippensburg, No. 14 Edinboro, No. 19 Millersville, and No. 22 East Stroudsburg, leads all leagues in the category.

On the men's side, Shippensburg is one of three PSAC teams in the national Top 10. SU was picked third in the PSAC preseason coaches poll released Wednesday behind Edinboro and Lock Haven. In the national poll, Lock Haven was picked ahead of the Scots at No. 8, while Edinboro was No. 9 and SU picked No. 10. No other PSAC programs recieved national rankings.
