Cook Wins Albright Invitational

Results

Albright College cross country senior George Cook beat out 43 other runners to win the Lions' first meet of the season, in their home Albright Invitational.

Cook ran 28:31 to win by a wide, 31-second margin. Freshman Brian Bacon was 24th in 34:29. Rounding out the Albright scoring contingent were Dave Dupre (27th, 34:47), Sam Marcotte (28th, 35:20) and Connor Unger (31st, 37:39).

The Lions were third of five teams. Catholic won with four top-10 finishers, while Penn College was second.

Albright will be back on the course next weekend at Misericordia University's Cougar Classic.
