Albright College cross country senior
George Cook beat out 43 other runners to win the Lions' first meet of the season, in their home Albright Invitational.
Cook ran 28:31 to win by a wide, 31-second margin. Freshman
Brian Bacon was 24th in 34:29. Rounding out the Albright scoring contingent were
Dave Dupre (27th, 34:47),
Sam Marcotte (28th, 35:20) and
Connor Unger (31st, 37:39).
The Lions were third of five teams. Catholic won with four top-10 finishers, while Penn College was second.
Albright will be back on the course next weekend at Misericordia University's Cougar Classic.
