Cook Earns First-Team Honors as Men's XC Competes at MACs

Results

Senior George Cook earned first team All-Conference honors as the Albright College men's cross country team placed 9th of 14 teams at Saturday's MAC championships.

Cook crossed the line in 28:20.70, good for 10th place and earning him a first-team All-Conference nod by exactly one second.

Sophomore Sam Marcotte was 96th, in 33:02.40, while freshman Dave Dupre finished in 35:16.60.

Connor Unger (37:29.10) finished just behind Dupre, and freshman Brian Bacon gutted out the race despite a nagging injury to ensure the Lions would score in the meet.

Elizabethtown won the race, held at Messiah, sweeping the top three spots. Times on the 8k course were slowed considerably due to the horrible weather conditions.

Albright will compete again on November 12 at the NCAA Mideast Regionals, which will be held at nearby DeSales.
