Kutztown, Pa. (Jan. 13, 2012) - The Alvernia University Men's Track and Field team came back from winter break and started back up in 2012 at the Kutztown University Collegiate Invitational.  The men were led by Brandon Young (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) winning the triple jump.  Young won the event with a mark of 13.00m and finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 6.22m.

Freshman Rondel Parker earned two third place finishes in the high jump and triple jump, while Parker's performance in the high jump earned him a MAC qualifying mark.  Parker also set a new school record in the 55m Hurdles with a seventh place finish, missing the final in the event by .006.

Freshman Tyrone McCloud (Lindenwold, NJ/Lindenwold) earned two more top ten finishes for the Crusaders with a fourth place finish in the 55m dash, and eighth place finish in the 200m dash.  His marks in both events earned him MAC qualifying marks and his 55m time was just .02 off of the ECAC qualifying mark.
