Reading, Pa. (Jan. 23, 2012) - Freshman Brandon Young (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) was named the MAC Indoor Track & Field Male Athlete of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.  This is the first weekly honor for the men's program, while the women's squad have received one weekly award in Melissa Fellenbaum (Mount Joy, Pa./Hempfield) who was honored last week.

Young won the triple jump at the Collegeville Indoor Classic, his second straight meet as the long jump champion.  He placed second  in the long jump with a new school record and ran the anchor legs of two school-record breaking relays (4 x 200m, 5th place; 4 x 400m, 6th).

The Crusader's will return to action this weekend with some athletes competing Friday night at Muhlenberg College and some competing on Saturday at the University of Delaware.
