RESULTS

New York, N.Y. (Mar. 2, 2012) - Junior Melissa Fellenbaum (Mount Joy, Pa./Hempfield) earned All-ECAC honors finishing fourth in the women's pole valut at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships Friday afternoon at the Armory Track and Field Center.  She is the first Alvernia woman to earn All-ECAC.

Fellenbaum, the MAC Champion, ranks in the top 10 in the nation in the pole vault and could become the first Alvernia Track and Field athlete to participate in the NCAA Championships when that field is released Saturday night at midnight.

Fellenbaum cleared 3.65m at the ECAC event, just five hundreths of a meter off her own school record.  Moravian senior Abigail Schaffer won the pole vault clearning 3.95m.
