Reading, Pa. (Mar. 5, 2012) – Alvernia University will be represented by junior Melissa Fellenbaum (Mount Joy, Pa. / Hempfield)  in the 2012 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.  Fellenbaum earned All-ECAC honors after finishing fourth in the women's pole vault and has earned the #9 seed going into the NCAA Championships.

Fellenbaum won the MAC Championship in women's pole vault and will be the first Alvernia Track & Field athlete to participate in the NCAA Championships.  Fellenbaum cleared 3.70m earlier in the year at Kutztown University landing her in the middle of the field of 15 for the NCAA Championships.
