Track & Field Opens Outdoor Season At Ursinus

- The Crusader Men's and Women's Track and Field teams kicked off their outdoor season at the Ursinus Invitational on Friday.  Brandon Young (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) paced the men's squad with three top-five finishes, while Karlee Kominsky was the top women's finisher with a fourth place finish in the high Jump.

Young placed third in the 100m with a time of 11.71sec., fourth in the 200m with a time of 23.11 and fifth in the Long Jump with a jump of 6.02m.  Also impressive from the men's squad was Kevin Griffin (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) who placed second in the Pole Vault with a jump of 3.65m and Cody Hughes (Birdsboro, Pa./twin Valley) who placed third in the 1500m with a time of 4:23.00.  Indeo Ragsdale (Lindenwold, NJ/Lindenwold) also record a third place finish - in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.23.

For the women's team, Karlee Kominsky (York, Pa./Northeastern) jumped 1.47m for a fourth place finish.  Erin Verdon (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills Regional) posted a sixth place finish in the 400m with her time of 1:05.07 and Amanda Searle (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Regional) placed seventh in the Discus with a toss of 32.02m.

Alvernia returns to action next Saturday March 24th at the West Chester Invitational.
