Great Valley Relays
Great Valley held their first invitational on the fast blue track at the Malvern school, and met some stiff competition from the Ridley girls in the field, and the Glen Mills boys everywhere they turned. The home squad did take the girls 4x1600 (23:02.78), the Shuttle Hurdles (1:06.530 the 4x400 (4:03.320 and the 4x800 (9:34.07); but it was Ridley which took home gold in the Discus, Javelin, Long Jump and Triple Jump Relays. Great Valley captured the High Jump Relays thanks in part to Penn Relays-bound Jen Williams. Spring-Ford won the Sprint Medley in an elite 4:14.31. The Glen Mills squad took ten of the sixteen events contested. Great Valley's boys took the Sprint Medley in 3:38.77. The Glen Mills 3:19.55 in the 4x400 was also an elite performance.
