5/10 - North Penn dominates winning ten events

In the boys competition, defending state champion North Penn dominated,  winning 10 events, including all three relays. Highlight events included the 4x100 victory over Pennsbury in two of the state's top times of the spring (42.82 and 42.98). The Knights broke their own meet record in the event. Sean Doyle swept the long distance events for the Knights (4:27.72 and 9:58.54). North Penn set another meet record in the 4x800 (8:01.68), edging their own time from 1999. Al Gregory led Pennsbury to a runner-up team finish with three individual golds, in addition to his anchor leg on the 4x100. Gregory broke the 100 record of former Pennsbury standout Troy Vincent (the Eagles' cornerback) with a 10.79 (auto). Vincent had a 10.6 hand time in 1988. Gregory also won the long and triple jumps. Brian Brutto, Central Bucks East, won two events, the 110 Hurdles and 300 Hurdles. In girls action, Pennsbury's Andi Glick won three golds to lead the Falcons to their second-straight title. After edging Neshaminy's Danielle Scardino in the 100 (12.68 to 12.78), Glick destroyed the field in the 200 (26.15). Pennsbury also dominated the 4x100 with Glick on anchor in a season-best 49.55. Kourtney Marquis set a meet record in the pole vault (11-1) for the Falcons. North Penn finished second with the help of two relay wins (4:03.10 and 9:56.12).
