2/21 - Gearing up for state, athletes cranked up performances at TSTCA Chmapionships

 

Gearing up for the State meet in a week, the sprint and field athletes cranked up their performances at the TSTCA Championships @ Slippery Rock. Kim Rorabaugh of Purchase Line, improved her season best to 39-11.50. Dana Ventrone, Chartiers Valley, went 17-11 in the Long Jump (Nicole Smith, McDowell 17-08), to go along with her win in the 55 Dash in 7.1. Shannon Yon of North Allegheny, cleared 5-06 in the High Jump to match the best in PA so far. Hampton's Julianna Reed won the 55 Hurdles in 8.3. Upper St. Clair's Julie Cameron captured both the 800 (2:20.4) and the 1600 (5:18.9). For the boys, Bobby Staten of Bethel Park, took both the 55 in 6.3 and the 200 in 22.8. The Triple Jumpers excelled in the west as well as in the east, with Hickory's Dante Marshall going 47-07 and Butler's Jordan Gray going 45-07. Calvin Littlejohn, Butler, cleared 6-04 in the High Jump. And Andrew Rademacher, Hickory, hit the 15-0 mark again to win the Pole Vault.
