It should be an interesting year with Amari Jones at MICDS, Alicia Burnett at Parkway North. Carthage and Parkway West rising to class five along with Hazelwood East moving down will mix things up a bit. What about amazing incoming freshman? I think we might have two or three that could be special this year on the girls side?

Makayla Clark and Ally Kruger both showed this XC season that they are the real deal - as if we didn't already know. Clark (Lee's Summit) enters the season with 57.22/2:10.61/4:39.31 bests in the 400/800/1500. 2:10 as an 8th grader is bonkers. Kruger (Liberty Wentzville) has run 5:16 in the 1600 and 10:32 in the 3k and went 18:07 in the 3 mile at Detweiler, 19:24 5k at McNair and took 8th in C4 this fall. Those are just freshmen I have middle school stats - we obviously saw a lot of other great performances from freshmen this year, e.g. the Arnold sisters, Alanza Montez, etc. A couple of names I've seen, but not sure where they're headed - Kiara Strayhorn, 5-5 high jump, 18-0.5 long jump, 14.92 100mH, Jeff City maybe? Brooke Moore has been tearing it up for Ultimate Speed - 36-2.25 triple jump and 17-10 among other marks. Mason Meinershagen vaulted 10-9 this summer as well.

Awesome information. Certainly, knew about some of the XC kiddos. No clue about the 2:10 800! That is insane!
