In a town that knows a lot about history, Craig Miller, Vince McNally and Brad Miller made some of their own at the Gettysburg Invitational. The Varsity Group One race could arguably be recorded as the fastest prep 5k in Pennsylvania history.

A foggy, cool morning gave way to the best prep 5K in PA in over a decade, as senior Craig Miller was challenged by Conestoga Valley sophomore Vince McNally, breaking the finish line in 14:56. McNally was clocked at 15:02. Manheim Township won by 20. Allentown Central Catholic rebounds from a loss last weekend, to win by six over Chambersburg. In Pittsburgh, frosh Natalie Bower leads Latrobe over powers Mt. Lebo and North Allegheny. Van Kooten, Brown battle @ Red, White & Blue Classic. At the Big Red Inv, two Christiansen records were rewritten. In Abington, West Chester East ran the course and the competition to perfection, beating NE#5 Coatesville. Kate Ross wins again. The high school cross country season will get a jump start this coming weekend with the running of the Gettysburg XC Invitational, at Gettysburg Area High School, Gettysburg, PA.
