AA athletes dominated the course at the District 10 Championships, Saturday, October 28, 2000 at Buhl Park in Sharon.
Jesi Christiansen, the Greenville sophomore who is one of the top runners in the state, AA or AAA, easily won the District 10 AA title. Her time of 19:00.37 was 48 seconds faster than the next finisher. But even with one point, her effort could only pull her team to third, behind Titusville, with 121 points, and Northeast, with 139. Her time was 36 seconds ahead of the AAA winner.

Grove City nipped Northeast for the District AA boys tile, 82-85. But Eisenhower junior Andy Weilacher easity won the individual title with a solid 16:08, 42 seconds better than second in his race, and 52 seconds faster than the winner of the AAA race.

Eric Soder, Harbor Creek, a sophomore, took the AAA title in 17:00. Joined by teammates in 3, 4, 26 and 29, Soder and his team won the district tiitle by three points over McDowell.

Kelly Richards, a General Mclane junior, won the AAA championship in 19:36. McDowell girls had better luck than the boys, winning by 20 points over Corry.
