HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES ONLY
Shamokin Area will be
hosting its 1st Track and Field Invitational on Friday, May 3rd, 2019.
Our intention to host an Invitational style meet, other than
our traditional Relay venue for the purpose to garner another opportunity for
individuals to improve or their District and League Standings.
All-weather track.
FAT Timing System
4 entries allowed on the
track. 3 entries allowed in the
field. One relay team from each
school. Substitutions and scratches
can be made before the start of the meet for running events.
The substitutions and
scratches for field events will be made at the event. A trophy will be awarded to the girls
and boys team that accumulates the most points. Scoring for the meet will be
10-8-6-4-2-1.
For sprinting events (high
hurdles, 100, 200) fastest times will advance to the finals. We will decide on a boxed alley or
waterfall start for the 800m, 1600m, 3200m, and the 4*800 relay the day of
the race. If we feel there are a
lot of competitors for the 800m, we may use more than one heat.
Field event competitors
will sign in at the event.
Tanker Relay will be a
non-scored event.
