Meet Information
Welcome to what is hopefully the first annual BAL Throws & Jumps Classic!
Date: Saturday, May 4, 2019
Time: 10:00AM
Location: Plumstead Christian School
5765 Old Easton Rd, Plumsteadville, PA 18949
Teams Invited: ALL Bicentennial Athletic League teams, and other D1 AA or AAA teams that will add to the overall competitive nature of the Invitational.
Entries: Each team is allowed UNLIMITED entries in each event with no restrictions on the amount of event per athlete beyond the normal 5 event limit in the NFHS handbook.
Field Events: This is a field only meet! Our events include shot, discus, javelin, long jump, and triple jump for both men and women.
Competitors will use their own regulation Shot, Discus, and Javelin. We may be able to provide some discs or shots if required. We are currently going to go with 3 attempts and then finals in all events; however, we reserve the right to change this depending on weather or time. The order of events is currently for girls: discus, javelin, shot. For boys: shot, disc, javelin. For the jumps: long and then triple, with girls followed by boys.
Jumpers are encouraged to know their steps before the meet to allow for a quicker flow to the meet.
All attempts will be measured.
Awards/Results: Top 3 awarded in each event. There will be no team scores. Results will be posted on MileSplit.
Other Info: PCS Head Coach Max Fritsche is the Meet Director. No day of Additions or substitutions. There will be a quick meeting at 9:45 for officials and coaches to reiterate the order of events, campus layout, bathrooms, snack shack, etc.
Spikes: 1/4 inch pyramid.
Parking: Busses can park by the tennis courts and along the soccer field. Due to baseball and softball games that day, it is encouraged you not park near their field or you may discover an accidental broken window from a ball.
Tents: Tents are allowed, but for safety's sake, please stay out of the roped off areas by the throwing events. The meet will move over a large space for the throws, so also be aware of that.
Cost: $10.00 an athlete.
