CCCNYC East Regional Championships 2019

The CC Coaches XC Eastern Regional Championship Meet will be held at Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA.   The meet will be hosted by the Seashore Strider Cross Country Team and assisted by the Ambler Olympic Club (AOC) & Bucks County Road Running Club.  The goal is to provide a quality end of the season championship meet for youth 18 & U and a chance to race in the CCC Coaches XC National  CHAMPIONSHIPS in Hebren, Ohio on November 23, 2019.

The Seashore Striders partnered with AOC this season after looking at a central location which we felt would be attractive and draw teams from 1-2 hrs in each direction.   This year we have teams already coming from 2 hours south, 2 hours west, and 2 hours northeast making what we hope to be one of the largest Regional Championships in the past 20 years.  We have already began to make some improvements to the course making it a bit faster than it already is.   Tyler State Park was an excellent course that provided runners a nice wide starting line, a course wide enough to pass throughout 80% of each distance, a fast straight finish stretch, and a challenging cross country course with rolling hills.  The combination of the course, the central location, the new teams committed to attending, the professional and experience of the Seashore Strider and AOC Team made this a perfect choice for the location of the meet.

As race director of 29 years, I invite you to the Regional Championships and hope that you can bring lot's of runners looking for a great cross country day at Tyler State Park.  I encourage each coach to print out the PDF of the application and start early in the season on the registration process.   I will need a paper copy of the application from each athlete as well as a YES CARD (Insurance) which will be a requirement to compete.   Coaches with teams larger than 20 athletes will also be sent directions later in the season regarding sending me an excel spreadsheet with athlete information which will make it much easier for me to forward data to our timing crew.

RACE NOTES...Just an FYI...The next time the Regionals are in Delaware with the Seashore Striders we will be racing on a brand new permanent state of the art cross country course that is currently being built in Georgetown, DE.   ALSO...The Seashore Striders will again be hosting their annual Cross Country invitational on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in Lewes, DE and we welcome all coaches that would love to spend a day at the BEACH with their team!
