Allentown Central Catholic senior Frances Koons came into this season confident. She used that confidence to challenge one of the country\'s best on September 13th at Spiked Shoe, finishing just nine seconds behind last season\'s Foot Locker Final\'s 4th place finisher, Laura Cummings of Bay Shore, NY. PennTrack talked with Koons after her stunning domination of the quality field 9/27 at Carlisle, and found a runner who knows she has earned her status among the nation\'s best... but she\'s not taking anything for granted.

Brian Fuller of Cumberland Valley, and Craig Miller, the soph from Manheim Township, battled to the finish again, and for the fourth time in six races over two years, they finished with a second of each other. Meanwhile, Allentown Central Catholic star Frances Koons took off at the gun and was never challenged. And the Carlisle boys and Parkland girls won tough races to say they\'re back in the hunt for state glory.
