4th PIAA Foundation XC Invitational 2010

Meet Information

Race timing for the varsity races will utilize championchip timing technology and will be performed by Runners High. Each runner will receive one (1) Championchip to be attached to their right shoe. Lacing and securing of the Championchip is solely the responsibility of each runner. Teams will be allowed to run a maximum of seven (7)runners, but no fewer than five (5) runners. PIAA reserves the right to move teams into races other than their respective class, if needed to complete the field.

Awards - The top two (2) teams in each race will receive championship and runner-up awards, respectively. Also, the top twenty (20) individuals will receive medals signifying their top twenty-finish in each race.

JV races will be limited to 10 runners per school. The top 20 finishers will receive an appropriate recognition of their finish. Awards will be held behind the starting area at the Parkview Cross Country Course.

Registration will begin at 7:45 AM at the gray trailer located at the finish area, which can be accessed from Hockersville Road, adjacent from the starting area of the Parkview Cross Country Course. Registration packets will contain all entries, names, timing chips, and member schools, by classification, with starting line assignments. The course will be open from 8:00 AM until the end of the last race on Saturday. All tents and equipment must be removed by 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 25, 2010.

Race times are as follows:
BLUE GIRLS 9:30 am
GOLD GIRLS 10:15 am
BLUE BOYS 11:00 am
GOLD BOYS 11:45 am
JV GIRLS 12:30 pm
JV BOYS 1:15 pm

Runners must wear the proper uniform in accordance with NFHS Cross Country Rules and PIAA Adoptions. All teams will be clerked at the starting line for proper compliance with those rules by a PIAA-Registered Track and Field/Cross Country Official. All decisions of race officials are final and are not subject to appeal.

Parking: School vans, buses, and cars will be restricted to parking as designated by HERSHEYPARK Security. Signage will be placed along HERSHEYPARK Drive to assist schools, spectators, media, and
race officials in directing them to their respective parking area.

Entry Fees: $100.00 per varsity team and $25.00 for a jayvee team, payable to the PIAA Foundation.
