There should be a lot to look out for at Perk Valley on Saturday for the Viking Invite.

Dallas will make the trip from District 2 and Ally Rome will make her invitational season debut, running the 1600 meters. It's a nice 1600 field, also including Owen J. Roberts' Allison Brunton.

The girls' jump pit should see some good compeititon. In both the long and triple jumps, we'll see Downingtown East's Evelyn Berecz, Spring Ford's Samantha Watkin, and Perk Valley's Rebekah Bondi and Christina Warren, among some other talented jumpers. Warren will also be favored in the 100 hurdles.

In the shot put and discus, Lower Merion's Vanessa Poe will be the one to watch. She's PA#7 in the shot and PA#12 in the disc.

Springfield's Sydni Stovall is entered in both the 400 and 800. In the 800, she'll see a good race from great Valley's Anna Willig. In the 200, PA#1 Teneisha Myers of Owen J. Roberts is the top seed and she'll look to lower that state leading time.

On the boys' side, Germantown Academy's Kyle Garland will have a busy day. He's entered in the 200 meters, 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles and high jump. In both hurdles, Sam Lindner of the Haverford School should give him a good race. Lindner had a quick start to his season and sits at PA#2 in the 300 hurdles.

In the high jump, it will be a close battle between Garland and Perkiomen Valley's Darnell Randall. The 400 is led by top seeded Justin Moscoe of the Haverford School.

The distance event will bring out some close races. In the 800, Garnet Valley's Jack Armand (PA#6) will matchup with Phoenixville's Sean McGinnis. Then in the 1600, Conestoga's PJ Murray and Haverford's James Abrahams are the top seeds in what should be a quick race. Souderton's Connor McMenamin will look to build off a good 1600 race at Jim Thorpe last week. He's entered in the 3200 this week along with West Chester East's Robert Moser, who is PA#6 in the event.

In the pole vault, look for a few talented up-and-comers, Kennett's Xavier Feliciano and Rustin's Richard Iovanisci.
