AA RESULTS

AA GIRLS: Annville-Cleona's Reagan Hess cleaned up in AA winning three district titles. Hess won the 100 in a time of 12.09 and then came back to take the 200 dash in a PR of 25.49. The Hess added a win in the long jump with a best leap of 18-6.

Wyomissing's Cassidy Kuhn had a big meet, too. Kuhn won the 3200 in 10:58.60 and then came back in win the 1600 in 5:08.65.

Trinity's Megan Silva was just off her outdoor PR she set last week at Mid-Penns, but she still walked away with her second straight district championship. Silva cleared 11-7 for the win.

AA BOYS: Brendan Sparr of Schuylkill Valley continued his great season and took over as the new PA#1 in the long jump. Sparr jumped 23-11.25 for the win. Surely that 24 foot mark will be on his mind on the runway in a week at Shippensburg.

Also from Schuylkill Valley, Joey Mundell proved he's ready to be a force at states next week. Mundell won both the discus and shot put in a big day. He threw 158-11 in the disc and 55-11 in the shot.

Camp Hill had a big day. Zach Kuntz won the 110 hurdles in 15.00 and then came back to win the 300 hurdles in 40.88. Cooper Leslie was another double winner, taking the 1600 (4:26.69) and 3200 (9:44.29). Reigning state champion Andrew Snyder won the 200 in 22.64. Their 4x800 won in 8:05 and should be one of the teams to watch in that event next week.

AAA RESULTS

AAA GIRLS: Yasmin Brooks of Susquehanna Township just keeps putting up solid marks. Brooks as usual had a very busy meet, but she came away with a pair of wins and two second place finishes. She won the 100 hurdles in a PR of 14.12 and the 200 dash in 25.25. She took second in the 300 hurdles (43.48) and the long jump (17-8.25). What more does Brooks have in store next week?

The Susquehanna Township 4x100 also grabbed a first, running a 49.18 for the win.

South Western's Lynne Mooradian was one of the few to stop Brooks, edging her out by .04 for the win in the 300 hurdles. Mooradian will be a serious contender in the event next week at states.

Mady Clahane of Cumberland Valley and Abby Yourkavitch of Chambersburg are far from strangers to each other. They raced many times this season and the two squared off in the 3200 again on Friday. Clahane, who is in the midst of a stellar final season, ran the state's fastest time of 10:24.83 to grab the win over Yourkavitch, who also posted a very fast time of 10:34.40.

Carlisle's Maddie Kole scored a big win over Fleetwood's Sarah Crissman. Kole clocked a 2:14.69 to take the win.

In a loaded 1600, it was Wilson's Alison Willingmyre who came out on top. Willingmyre went under 5 with a 4:55.81 to take down Clahane and Yourkavitch in a close one.

Harrisburg's Ty'Asia Dansbury had a busy day in the sprints. She won the 400 (57.53), took second in the 200 (25.20), and took fourth in the 100 (12.38) Cedar Cliff's Grace Gillespie won the VERY close 100 final in a time of 12.30.

Wilson bested Carlisle in the 4x800, running a very solid PA#5 of 9:16.23. They'll be a threat in that event in Ship.

The pole vault was closely contested, as East Pennsboro's Paige Ritter came out on top with a clearance of 12-3, but three others behind her also cleared 12 feet.

The day's breakthrough performance came from Mechanicburg's Nicole Weenink, who jumped a huge PR of 38-3 to win the triple jump, beating a deep field. In the long jump, it was Lower Dauphin's Karina Long who took the win over Brooks. Long went 17-10.25 to take the district title.

Cocalico's Emily Stauffer continued her pursuit of an outdoor state title. Stauffer won both the shot put and discus. In the shot, Stauffer threw a district meet record of 45-10.25 and she won discus with a best throw of 132-3.

New Oxford's Madison Smith, who came alive with a huge PR at the YAIAA Champs, kept it going to win the javelin with a throw of 141-0. There's a crowded group of girls looking for the upset against Madison Wiltrout at the state meet and Smith will be one of those throwers for sure.

AAA BOYS: Ravaughn Dillard of Gettysburg lost his stranglehold on the top spot in the state in the triple jump last week. But Dillard came back with a vengeance at districts to take it back. He jumped 47-11.75, three quarter of an inch better than Shamar Jenkins' 47-11 from last week. Dillard, the defending state champ, is in a good spot to go for the repeat at states in less than a week. Milton Hershey's Treyvon Wheelings took second with a best jump of 47-3.

In the long jump, Solanco's Troy Miller jumped 23-0.5 for the win. It was no season best, but Miller, too, is in a good position to make a run at a state title next week.

There were some good battles in the deep throwing events. Manheim Central's Tyler Hoag beat a field where eight boys threw over 50 feet. Hoag had a best of 56-4.75 to win it.

In the discus, Manheim Township's Ben Viau won with a best toss of 168-0. Warwick Eric Garner won the javelin with a throw of 187-7.

In the pole vault, Red Lion's Gregory Potter beat out usual rival Payton Morris of East Pennsboro. Potter cleared 14-9 for the win, while Morris took second with a clearance of 14-3.

Solanco's Billy Cooney had a big day in the hurdles. The senior captured wins in both the high and intermediate hurdles. In the rain, Cooney nearly beat his PR in the 110s, winning in a 14.35. Then in the 300 hurdles, Cooney won in 39.90. He'll be a factor in both next week that appear on paper to wide open events at states.

Muhlenbuerg's Najee Smith came away with the win, dipping under 11 seconds in a 10.93 for the victory. Central Dauphin East's Aaron Arp was a narrow winner over Greencastle's Liam Okal in the 200 dash. Arp ran 21.80 in the prelims and won with a 21.97 in the finals.

Cumberland Valley's Kier Miner continues to assert himself in the quarter mile. The breakthrough senior won the 400 in a PA#2 48.16 on Saturday. Only indoor state champion Josh McLemore has a better time this season. That should be one of the state meet's most intriguing battles.

JP McCaskey's Nathan Henderson picked up the win in the 3200 on Friday, opting to focus on the 8-lapper rather than the 1600. Henderson ran 9:20 for the win with Ephrata's Zach Lefever taking second in 9:22 and Carlisle's Matt Wisner third in 9:25.

The 1600 was a quick one. East Pennsboro's Sam Signor, after running the 3200 the night before, won in a 4:17.99 over Manheim Township's Brian Delany (4:19.03) and Hershey's Andrew Sullivan (4:21.89). Wisner came back the next day after the 3200 and won the 800 9the event he'll focus on at states). Wisner won in 1:55.92 over Lebanon's Derin Klick, who ran a 1:56.77.

Wisner also helped his Carlisle 4x800 to the win. The team clocked a 7:58.89 for first over Milton Hershey (8:00.75) and Lower Dauphin (8:02.43)
