Cheltenham's Chanel Brissett is headed to the semifinals of the 100 hurdles at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
The rising senior clocked a PR and a PA#1 of 12.95 in the first round of the Olympic Trials high hurdles. That time ties Candy Young's 1979 state record in the event. That is also the third fastest time by a high schooler. She is the 14th of 21 qualifiers for the semis. The semifinals are slated to go off at 6:58 EDT on Friday.
