AAA Girls | Stroudsburg looks to threaten Easton's run

D11 AAA Girls Preseason Team Rankings

Last season, the battle for D11-AAA supremacy came down to the gap. Easton's 1:07 1-5 gap gave them a big advantage over Stroudsburg's 2:20 1-5 gap. Easton won its second straight title by 16 points in 2015. As we look to this season, the gap very well could be the difference maker again.

Both squads have frontrunners. Stroudsburg returns the reigning champ, Allana Powlette as well as Amy Conboy and Michelle Joyce. Easton loses Diana Hammerstone, but returns a deep team that includes Lauren Maddison, Katherine Ellmaker and Alyssa Repsher.  Like it did last year, the duel for the crown will come down to those 4-5 runners. Right now, it looks like Easton still might hold that advantage, but time will tell who steps up for both squads.

Emmaus will look to get itself into the conversation. After losing Katie Bacher to graduation, they'll need to find a top girl to emerge to compete with the top teams. Abby Dalton or Katrina Durrwachter could be the answer for Emmaus.

Parkland and Southern Lehigh are other contenders, as these teams will be scrambling for the limited state qualifiying berths.
