AAA Boys | McDowell and Cathedral Prep will be a close one!

D10-AAA Boys Preseason Team Rankings

While McDowell had the top dog in D10-AAA last year, it was Erie Cathedral Prep that had the depth, putting four runners before McDowell's second runner. Prep took the title by 17 points and advanced their team to states. With six of its seven runners returning this year, including 2015 district champ Ryan Zimmerman, McDowell will look to reverse that fortune.

Gone from Prep are its number one and two runners from last year. Rising seniors Kevin Haight (above) and Kyle Wagner will look to pick up where the now-graduated Evan Fritzke and bailey Klein left off. Behind them rising sophomore Alex Chelton and Roman Zegarelli will need to step up to help the team repeat as champs.

McDowell will put its trust in Zimmerman to grab another low stick at districts. But where the race will really come down to is in the 2-3-4-5 runners. Can junior Jack Holmberg and Jacob Lawrence make a nice jump this year to rival Prep? They must as this will be a great battle for D10's one AAA state team spot.

DuBois Area is led by Peter Foradora, who was second to Zimmerman at districts last year. They'll need to add some depth after him to get competitive with McDowell and Prep this year.
