D6-A Girls Preseason Team Rankings

After a shocking win at last year's state championship to take down defending champs Central Cambria, there's no telling what's next for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, a still very young program. Last year, they lost by 28 points to Central Cambria at districts, but then pulled off a miraculous 90-97 win at states.

They return five members of their team from last year and seem primed to contend for another state title. With Central Cambria gone to AA, SJCA's path to a D6-A crown may be a little easier, but it won't come without a battle They're still a generally young team that includes three rising sophomore like leader Sera Mazza.

One of SJCA's top challengers in the state in a district rival, Marion Center. The third place team in the state from last year, returns six of seven from last year's squad. Taya Whitfield leads the way for Marion Center. They have a nice pack behind her that will make them a force in D6 and the state.

Westmont Hilltop and United will be among the teams looking to get into contention in District 6 Single-A this season.
