D4-AA Boys Team Preseason Rankings

After losing to Lewisburg at a duel meet and the Shikellamy Boosters XC Classic, Mifflinburg won its first-ever District 4 crown last year with a 14 point victory over Lewisburg. After last year's back-and-fourth, it should set up another great battle between the two teams this fall. With just one state spot on the line, it will be fierce.

Mifflinburg returns six of seven, but they do lose their top guy from last year, Quincy Amabile. Cody Brooks, Quenton Long, and Bradley Haines will be called to lead the group this year. They should have a tight pack through their top five.

For Lewisburg, it loses three seniors from last year's team, but does return Anthony Bach (above) and Nick Alico, who both placed in the top five at districts last year. They key to knocking off Mifflinburg will be in Lewisburg's 3-5. They have to add some depth to win that state qualifying spot.

Milton is a team you can't sleep on either. They return their top six from last year, including a very strong top three, comprised of all juniors. Tyler Leeser, Seth Kendall, and Nick Doresky should be in line for strong seasons, but they need a strong four and five to contend with Lewisburg and Mifflinburg.

2015 third place team Danville loses three seniors from last year's team, but they have three rising sophomores and a senior returner in Matthew Leiby that could be in for big seasons. Jersey Shore has the defending individual champion in Isaac Davis and some other strong returners, but they desperately need a fifth guy to become competitive.
