D2-AA Girls Team Preseason Rankings

It should be a good race for the two state qualifying spots in D2-AA. As Abington Heights moves to AAA, we'll get a new champ in the classification this time around. The three favorites for those two spots seem to be Dallas, Lake Lehman, and Scranton Prep.

Dallas loses district champ (and AA state champ) Ally Rome and then Katie Grose from last year's team that placed second and make the state meet. While Rebecca Balara should hold form for Dallas up front, they'll need to add some depth and replace those losses if they want a return trip to Hershey.

Scranton Prep wasn't far off a team state spot last season, but they'll look to move up this and claim a berth this time around. They lose Erin Feeney (district runner-up and state runner-up to Rome), but do return five from last year's team. That includes three rising sophomores and two rising juniors. This young squad could be a serious threat for the district crown this year.

Lake Lehman returns five as well from last year's team that was fourth in the district. Jade Fry, who was 40th in the state, will lead this team that can definitely contend with Dallas and Scranton Prep for one of those two spots.

Valley View may be a sleeper in this classification. While they lack an obvious frontrunner, they return six from a tight pack from last season. Honesdale also returns six from their sixth place district team last year and they'll try to creep into the conversation.
