A Boys | Dock and Jenkintown will battle
D1-A Boys Team Preseason Rankings
Single-A received a shake-up this season when New Hope-Solebury moved to AA, taking out one of the classification's perennially top teams within District 1. But the show rolls on, and this season it looks like it'll be a race between last year's runner-up Christopher Dock and last year's third place team, Jenkintown.
Dock loses Michael Gunden the district champ from last season, but returns the rest of its varsity squad. Tim Kennel and Isaiah Denlinger will lead the way for Dock this season. They will miss Gunden up front, but they have a good group that will contend again.
Jenkintown also loses one runner from last year's team. They do return Jack Miller, who took second in the district as just as freshman. He's the top individual returner. They have a strong 2-5 grouping that could prove to be the difference maker here.
Just three points separated Dock and Jenkintown last season and we could be looking at a repeat close race for that one state qualifying spot.
