Girls' Recap: Manhattan Invitational
Pennsylvania walked away with two individual champions from the letter races at Manhattan.
North Penn's Ariana Gardizy won the Varsity C race and North Penn dominated the field to take the victory. It's Gardizy's fourth individual win of the season and her team's fourth win as well. Gardizy ran 15:13 for first, while Olivia Dyer of North Penn took second in 15:27. North Penn scored 46 points to take a sizable win over second place Ithaca. Watch the race below:
It was Cheltenham's MaryGrace Rittler that posted the fastest Pennsylvania girls time of the day. Rittler, in the midst of her first XC season, won the Varsity E race in a time of 15:00.30. Her Panthers team placed 14th out of 27 teams in that race. Rittler continues to prove that she is a major threat in PA with that effort on Saturday. Watch that race below:
In the Eastern States' race, Saint Joseph's Catholic's Sera Mazza (pictured above) took 18th overall in the loaded field with a time of 15:18. SJCA took 17th in the race. Julia Cusatis took 73rd for SJCA in 16:20. Downingtown West's Emma Planck took 29th in the race in a time of 15:36. Watch the Eastern States' race below:
