Westmoreland County Coaches Assoc. Meet

RESULTS

Franklin Regional's Mark Provenzo continued his great senior campaign with another win. Provenzo, who won over the weekend at Slippery Rock, won again on Thursday. For the second straight year, he won the Westmoreland County Coaches Meet in a time of 16:08.

Kiski Area's Eric Kennedy had a strong race, taking second place in 16:34. Provenzo's teammate Matthew Busche was third in 16:36.

Greensburg Salem took the boys' team title, packing its top four between spots four and eight. Frankie King led the way in fourth, Mark Brown was sixth, Cameron Binda was seventh and Dylan Binda was eighth, as G-S scored 42 points for the win. Norwin was second, led by Matt O'Neill in fifth place overall.

Greater Latrobe's Maria Cawoski took the win in the girls' race in a time of 19:03. Cawoski was second last season, so she moves up a spot from 2015. Greensburg Salem's Riley Kwiatkowski was second in 19:30 and Kiski Area's Kierra Schreffler took third in 19:42.

Greater Latrobe, led by Cawoski, took the team win with 45 points. Rachel Harter, Sydney Green, and Emma Kozuch took spots seven through nine for a nice pack for GL. Norwin was second and Greensburg Salem took third.
