Hurricane Classic - Meet Preview
Saturday figures to be the season debut of Friends' Central's Gabrielle Wilkinson. The junior had a light indoor schedule that didn't include a trip to the indoor state meet. But Wilkinson will open up her outdoor campaign with the 1600 meters. Pennridge's Monika Brill is also in that field, so look for some fast times there.
Brill is also entered in the 3200 meters along with West Chester Henderson's Courtney Kitchen.
The host team, Villa Maria Academy, has the top seed in the javelin. Erin Zimmerman, the reigning District 1 AAA champ, is set to make her season debut this weekend. West Chester Henderson's Allison McGlynn is the one to watch in the high jump, with a seed of 5-3 entering the meet.
