Taylor Allderdice will look to win yet another Pittsburgh City League crown. Last year, it took the top seven spots at the District 8 Championships to sweep the competition for the second straight season. Allderdice graduates last year's individual champ Amadou Diallo, and it loses some other members from that top seven, but there's no reason to believe it can't win again and make another team trip to Hershey.
Tavonne Davis, who won the D8 crown as a sophomore in 2015, was second to Diallo last season and should lead Allderdice this fall. Ethan Hermann should be another key contributor as Allderdice looks to improve upon its 16th place finish from states last fall.
Carrick will look to put together some pieces to challenge Allderdice.
