D12-AA Girls - Individuals Breakdown

Kayla Connelly's four-year stranglehold on District 12's Class AA will come to end this season, as the successful Connelly has graduated. We're expecting a really close battle for the district crown this season with a number of girls in the hunt.

The Masterman duo of Viki and Marina Mancoridis will be worth watching for. Marina was the Class A district champ in 2015 and Viki was runner-up last season, when Masterman made the move to AA. Viki went on to place 51st in AA at the state meet, capping off a strong season. Jennifer Luong and Anya Gizis, also of Masterman will look to move closer to the Mancoridis sisters.

While Lansdale Catholic will be without Connelly, the team still returns some good talent. Junior Sara Murphy and senior Amy Forst were fourth and sixth respectively in the district last fall should make an impact again near the front this season.

Msgr. Bonner & Abp. Prendergast also has some good depth and plenty of individuals that will compete for a spot inside the top five of the district. Jenna Rastatter was fifth at districts last fall, and will be looking to close out her career on a high note. She also had a strong spring that included a trip to the state meet in the 1600 meters. Samantha Gliwa was third in the district in 2015, but didn't race much last season in the fall. If she's healthy, Gliwa can certainly contend for an individual crown. Rising sophomore Corrina O'Lock and rising junior Charlotte McDermott return from the top ten last season and will look to improve upon those finishes.
