Individuals Breakdown: District 12 Boys

D12-AAA Boys - Individuals Breakdown

Evan Addison made some good strides last fall and became a very solid performer on the state scene. Addison was second to Cardinal O'Hara's Ryan James at PCLs and then Addison won the District 12 individual crown less than a week later. But Addison was a DNF at the state meet, so heading into his senior year, Addison would love to leave a bigger imprint on PA.

Addison ran 4:17 a number of times this season in the mile and 1600 meters. He's shown he has a wealth of talent and should be pushed by some big team goals as well this fall. He'll be heavily favored to repeat as D12 champ, as most of his intra-team and other D12 opponents have graduated.

O'Hara's Jack Becker should assume the role as top runner on the perennial this year, as the Lions lose Ryan and Patrick James and Gavin Inglis this season. Becker was a strong piece to O'Hara's team last season and dipped under 17 minutes at DELCOs. There will be a lot of pressure on Becker, but he's learned from some quality O'Hara runners before him, and is worth watching for this season.

Behind Addison, LaSalle has some strong talent, all with minimal varsity experience, though. Vincent Twomey stepped up as one of the state's top ninth graders last season. He was 70th at states last season and the future for Twomey is certainly bright. Fellow rising sophomore Ethan Maher was the runaway freshman PCL champ and competed at states last fall. Look for those two to be one of the top Class of 2020 duos in the state.

Central's Christopher Carson took 13th at districts last season. Carson has qualified for states each of the last two seasons and will look to crack into the top ten or better at Belmont Plateau again this season. Saint Joseph's Prep's Patrick Lorei, Calvin Willie, and Ricky Raup will be in the mix for state qualfying spots this season. Archbishop Carroll's Aidan Doherty and Father Judge's Patrick Carolan are also ones to look for.
