Individuals Breakdown: District 12 Boys

D12-AA Boys - Individuals Breakdown

Bonner & Prendie rolled to a team spot in the state meet behind the legs of two low sticks: Anthony Harper and Dave Whitfield. While Whitfield has graduated, Harper is back for his senior year, and after running away with the title last year, Harper will be heavily favored to do so again.

Harper, a rising senior, went on to take 14th at states, going 16:52 for a new 5K best. So what does Harper have in store for this fall? Well, he's the eighth best returner if you take out seniors from last year's state meet, so expect Harper to make quite an impact this fall. It will be interesting to see how he stacks up in the PCL, where he took 11th last year.

After Harper, a number of boys will be in the hunt for an individual spot in the state meet. Overbrook's Saabir YasinSpann was third overall at districts last fall. Not far behind him was fourth place Steven Lebron of Creative & Performing Arts.

Mastery Charter's Alex Harris and Conwell-Egan's Jeremy Capella will once again be in the mix for a spot in the state meet.
